In summer the ski trails of Snowmass Mountain becomes a
paradise of outdoor activities. Trails for hiking, biking, and
guided horseback rides cover the mountain and extend all the
way around Snowmass Village, to Aspen, and in to the
surrounding National Forest and Wilderness Area. Ski lift rides,
disc golf, fishing, four-wheel-drive tours, sunset dinners,
mountain boarding, and more are available on the mountain. At
the base area, Fanny Hill hosts a free concert every Thursday
throughout the summer. Check out all these opportunities in
more detail below.
4-Wheel Drive Tours & Sunset Dinners
An evening of Colorado mountain fun, beginning with a four-
wheel drive tour into the high country and finishing with a full
course, hearty dinner in one of the Aspen area's most scenic
settings. Traverse the mountain to the secluded and historic
Burlingame log cabin, nestled in the front yard of the majestic
Mt. Daly and miles from nowhere. Geology, history and wildlife
will be discussed and observed along the way. Here the food and
fun begins with group and individual activities; you can toss
horseshoes, swing in the tree swing, play Frisbee, or take an
unforgettable half-mile hike to the spectacular Mt. Daly
overlook. A full course country-style dinner will be served. (To
accommodate our groups, we can change the menu upon
request.) As the sun begins to set behind Mt. Daly and the glow
of the campfire lights up the surrounding woods, you will be
entertained by the sounds of live music. The stars above and the
glittering lights of the town below highlight the return trip. This
trip is a great opportunity to relax at the end of the day. The
cabin setting is small and intimate, taking you back to the
frontier days of early Colorado. Don't leave the Roaring Fork
Valley without REALLY experiencing the great outdoors.

“Activity Packages” page!
Bungee Trampoline From the world of extreme sports
comes this hybrid of the trampoline! Using multiple bungee
cords, the traditional trampoline is superboosted to give a
gravity-defying ride giving all the adrenaline of bungee jumping
but none of the risks. Jumpers are able to reach heights that
would be impossible using a traditional trampoline alone.
Jumpers are secured and safe in their adjustable harness and
they are free to experiment with acrobatic movements or to
simply jump as high as they can. The rapid rate at which
confidence skyrockets after your first double somersault creates
a contagious buzz between both participants and spectators.
The cost of each two-minute jump is $5.00. The Bungee
Trampoline is located at Spider Sabich at the top of the
Burlingame Lift. It is open from 10:00 a.m.–6:00
p.m. daily! Purchase your tickets at Snowmass Mountain
Outfitters or on site. Please contact Joey Womtemath for more
info.
Chairlift Rides During the summer of 2005 the
Burlingame Lift operated for free. Enjoy breathtaking views of
Snowmass and the surrounding valley. Bicycles may be taken on
the lift at no additional charge. Take the chairlift up and hike or
bike back down. The lift was open daily from June 21st to
September 1st from 9:30 a.m.–4:00 p.m. Tickets are available at
the Ticket Pavilion at the Fanny Hill end of the Snowmass Village
Mall. For more information, call 970-923-8647. Due to the
ongoing upgrade of mountain lifts and facilities, the schedule
for summer 2006 has not yet been set.

FREE Summer Concert Series The Snowmass Summer
of Free Music Series is one of the most popular events in the
valley. Every Thursday evening thousands of locals and visitors
gather at the base of Fanny Hill to hear free open-air concerts
featuring some of the best rock, R&B, soul, and Latin music in
the country. See our Calendar of Events for specific dates and
acts.
Hiking There is no better place to experience Colorado
hiking than on Snowmass Mountain. Try a short hike on the
Ditch Trail for an amazing view of the Snowmass Creek Valley or
continue on into the scenic Maroon Bells Snowmass Wilderness
Area. Government Trail traverses Snowmass Mountain from the
end of the Ditch Trail and connects to Aspen via the Tiehack
area of Buttermilk. Cross Mountain Trail links the Uhlrhof
Restaurant area and Elk Camp/East Government area. On the
north side of Snowmass Village, the Rim Trail offers panoramic
views of Mt. Daly, Capital Peak, Mt. Sopris, and the Snowmass
Ski Area.

concierge desk, or contact the Snowmass Village Parks and
Trails Division, 970-923-5110, or White River National Forest,
