Juan Quezada was named Mexican Artist of the Year in 1999. He was recognized in 2003 as a Living National Treasure, and awarded the Premio Nacional de los Artes, the highest honor Mexico bestows upon living artists. His work is in numerous museum collections worldwide.
Michael Wisner, Quezada’s principal North American student, has spent much of the past 18 years experimenting with new ways of looking at Southwestern pottery. His work is in many collections worldwide and is represented by the Patina Gallery in Santa Fe, and the Harvey/Meadows Gallery in Aspen, CO. |
