Anderson Ranch Evening with the Artists Date(s): 08/12/08 Time: 7 p.m.  Details: Anderson Ranch Arts Center, Schermer Meeting Hall Val Cushing is Professor Emeritus at Alfred University. He earned his BFA and MFA at the School of Art and Design at Alfred University. His work has been included in over 300 exhibitions, and in major collections and museums. Suzanne McClelland has exhibited her work in solo shows throughout the country, most recently at the Orlando Museum of Art, the Paul Kasmin Gallery in New York, and Galerie Lutz & Thalmann in Zurich, Switzerland. In 1993 her work was included in the Whitney Biennial and in 2001 she was part of a group exhibition at the museum, “A Way With Words.” Suzanne’s work is in the collections of the Museum of Modern Art in New York, the Whitney and the Jane Voorhees Zimmerli Art Museum at Rutgers \University, to name a few. Erika Wanenmacher is a sculptor and “culture witch” whose art investigates the conflicts between nature and culture. Master of a wide range of materials, her work ranges in scale from the intimate object to large-scale installation. She has shown in 15 one-person exhibitions in galleries and public spaces, including the critically acclaimed Grimoire at SITE Santa Fe, and her work can be found in public collections such as the Fisher Landau Center and the New Mexico Museum of Art.
